KATIE & ZANE
- WILCOX FARM -
Roy, WA
Wilcox Farm showed off for us that day, warm sunshine, wide open fields, and just the first hints of fall creeping into the trees. The air had that late-season glow to it, where everything feels a little golden and a little nostalgic at the same time.
Katie and Zane were completely at ease out there. We wandered through the fields, letting the light guide us, stopping when something felt right. They laughed easily, leaned into each other without thinking, and made the whole afternoon feel lighthearted and simple. There’s something about them that feels steady but still playful, like they’ve built something solid without losing the fun.
Knowing this is the very place they’ll come back to get married added an extra layer to it all. We found ourselves imagining where they’d stand, where their people would gather, almost like a quiet rehearsal without the pressure. It felt like a glimpse of what’s ahead.
They met in college, and you can tell they’ve grown alongside each other. There’s a comfort there that only comes from time, from choosing each other again and again. Photographing them in the place where their next chapter will begin felt full of anticipation and joy, and I left that day already excited for what’s coming next.
