Melissa’s maternity session in Forest Park was one of those bright, beautiful Portland days where the sunlight filters through the trees just right. The light came down in these soft beams through the forest canopy, and everything felt warm and peaceful around us.

I’ve known Melissa since high school, so getting to reconnect and photograph this moment in her life felt really wonderful. It’s always special to catch up with someone after so many years and see the ways life has grown and changed for them. Watching her step into this new chapter and celebrate the little life about to join the world was really sweet.
