I’ve been photographing the Lawson family for years now, and it’s been such a gift to watch their story unfold over time. From the early days, when I was Liam’s teacher, to now getting to call them family friends, it’s been really special to grow alongside them in different ways.
I’ve watched their family change and stretch and settle into new seasons. Kids grow taller. Personalities get bigger. Inside jokes develop. The little things shift, and suddenly you realize how much time has passed. Getting to document those changes year after year feels like being handed tiny time capsules.
It’s more than just showing up with a camera at this point. It’s catching up. It’s watching the kids run toward me like we never skipped a beat. It’s seeing how much love fills their home. I’m so grateful I’ve gotten to be part of their journey for so long, and even more grateful to call them friends.
