Mckenzie and Tim’s wedding day is one I will truly never forget. Oregon was in the middle of an absolutely unprecedented heat wave, and the temperature climbed all the way up to 117 degrees. It was the kind of heat none of us had ever experienced before, and the whole day felt a little wild because of it.
But somehow, everyone rallied and made it work. We took lots of breaks inside where the AC was running, and they had buckets filled with ice water and ice packs so people could cool down whenever they needed. There were pop-up covers everywhere to create shade, and everyone was looking out for each other, making sure the day stayed safe and comfortable despite the weather.
And honestly, even with the heat, the day was still so full of joy. People were laughing, celebrating, and determined to make the most of it. The taco dinner was incredible, and the churro truck at the end of the night was such a perfect treat. Somehow all of those little things, the food, the laughter, the effort everyone put in to keep the day going, made the whole celebration feel even more memorable.
It was a little chaotic, a little sweaty, but also completely beautiful. Watching Mckenzie and Tim surrounded by so much love and support made it clear that nothing, not even 117-degree heat,, was going to stop this day from being full of happiness.
