Getting to photograph my cousin’s graduation from Oregon State University was such a proud moment. There’s something really sweet about watching someone you’ve grown up alongside reach a milestone like that, cap, gown, big smile and all. We wandered around campus, stopping in the places that meant something to her, laughing and soaking it all in. You could feel the mix of relief and excitement, that “I actually did it” kind of energy. It’s such a huge accomplishment, and it came from so many long nights, hard classes, and steady determination.

I’m just really proud of her. Watching someone you love reach a milestone like that hits in a different way. I’m so glad I got to be the one behind the camera, capturing this chapter before she steps into whatever comes next.
