Getting to photograph my friend’s dog when she was just a tiny puppy was such a joy. Puppies have this little burst of energy and curiosity about everything, and it’s impossible not to smile when you’re around them.

Sometimes I think we all wish dogs could stay puppies forever… well, at least the cute parts of it. Maybe not the learning-to-pee-outside phase or the chewing-on-everything-in-sight stage. But those sweet puppy faces, the floppy ears, and the way they look up at you with complete curiosity? That part is pretty magical.

Capturing those early moments is so much fun, and it’s such a gift to have photos to look back on later when they’ve grown into their full personalities. Puppies grow up so quickly, and getting to freeze that tiny, adorable stage in time is something really special.
