Kristen and Nick’s wedding day was such a joy to be part of. The venue itself was stunning, one I had admired for a long time and always hoped I’d get the chance to photograph. Being there with my camera, finally getting to see it come to life with their people and their story, felt really rewarding.
What made it even sweeter was getting to watch Nick step into this chapter. I’ve known him for years as the younger brother of one of my high school and college friends. I’ve seen him grow up in the background of so many seasons, and now here he was, standing at the front of the room, completely in love.
The way he looks at Kristen is steady and full of admiration. And the way she smiles at him feels effortless. They weren’t trying to put on a show, they were just genuinely happy to be there together. It was simple and heartfelt in the best way.
Getting to capture his own love story beginning felt really sweet. It’s a beautiful thing to witness someone you’ve known for so long find their person, and to document that moment as it becomes official.
