Leah and Kyle actually got married at a concert before ever taking engagement photos, which honestly feels very on brand for them. So when we planned this session, we decided it would live somewhere between an engagement shoot and a tiny, just-for-us elopement celebration. Leah made their outfits herself (because of course she did, she’s an incredible seamstress). I’ve known her since our theater days back in high school, and it’s been such a joy watching her talent and craft continue to grow over the years. We spent the evening frolicking through the park, splashing in the water, laughing, and reminiscing about where it all started. It felt playful and nostalgic and so very them. Sessions like this remind me that there’s no one right way to celebrate your love, you just get to make it yours.
