ARIEL & CHRIS

I met Ariel in college, and she has always been such a thoughtful and talented fellow creative. It felt really special getting to photograph her wedding to Chris and see just how much of her own artistry she poured into the day. So many of the details reflected her creativity, making the whole celebration feel deeply personal and entirely theirs.
This was a COVID micro wedding, and originally they had planned to celebrate with a bigger wedding later. But the day turned out so beautifully that they realized they didn’t need anything larger after all. It really captured why so many people fall in love with the intimacy of elopements and micro weddings. The two of them were able to move through the day at their own pace, doing things exactly how and when they wanted, without the pressure of hosting a large crowd.
Of course, it was still the middle of the pandemic, so there were custom bride and groom masks, hand sanitizer everywhere, and careful social distancing, but none of that took away from the beauty of the day. If anything, it made the love and intention behind every moment stand out even more. And as the evening settled in, the most incredible sunset lit up the sky and wrapped the whole celebration in this warm, glowing light.
It was simple, heartfelt, and completely unforgettable. Proof that not even a pandemic could stop this love.
