It’s wild how the places you grow up visiting can end up holding entirely new memories. Getting to photograph Ali and Thomas at the shipwreck on the Oregon Coast felt really personal. That beach has been part of our family camping trips for years, the kind of place you return to every summer without even thinking about it. So standing there with her now, taking engagement photos in a spot that holds so many shared memories, just felt right.
It was misty and quiet in that classic coastal way. The wind, the salt air, the soft gray sky, all of it made the moment feel even more meaningful. Thomas grew up in Hawaii, connected to the Pacific in his own way, and I loved that the ocean could hold meaning for both of them. Two different coastlines, one shared love for the water.
Knowing they’ll be getting married in Hawaii made this feel like such a beautiful in-between chapter. A piece of home for her. A piece of home for him. And now, something they share together.…
